Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Travel Guide: December 2012 Events ...

Ripley?s Aquarium will be decorated
with over 50 trees during the month of December, each representing the
diversity of the United States. There will also be a special holiday tree
scavenger hunt for visitors.

December 1:? Holiday Parade at Broadway at the Beach

The only holiday parade in Myrtle Beach takes place at Broadway at the Beach beginning at 11am. See classic cars, marching bands, and Santa!

December 2:? Christmas Parade in Murrells Inlet

The annual holiday parade begins at 3pm at Wilcox Avenue and goes down Business 17. There will be bands, beauty queens, dogs, and treats for the kids. The parade ends at Pendergrass Avenue.

December 2:? Ripley?s Family Snow Ball

It?s the only ball suitable for the whole family. Come to Ripley?s Aquarium to celebrate the holidays with music, dancing, and refreshments. The Snow Ball takes place from 5-8pm and costs $14.99 per person.

December 7-8, 14-15, 20-22:? Nights of a Thousand Candles

Brookgreen Gardens? Nights of a Thousand Candles has become a tradition for locals and visitors. For three different weekends in December, the gardens will be lit with thousands of candles. There will be live entertainment and special indoor exhibits. Events is held from 3-10pm.

December 8:? Holiday Crafts at Ripley?s Aquarium

Make your own crafts to decorate your home or to give as Christmas gifts at the Holiday Crafts event at Ripley?s Aquarium. Supplies are provided. Event goes from 1-4pm and costs $19.99 per person.

December 8, 15, 22:? Breakfast with Santa

The Hard Rock Caf? will host three breakfasts with Santa during December. There will be holiday music, an activities room, and photo ops with Santa. Cost is $9.95 per person. Reservations are required ? call 843-946-0007 ext. 208.

December 26-31:? Beach Ball Classic

For the 32nd year, Beach Ball Classic will return to Myrtle Beach at the Convention Center. The holiday basketball tournament features the nation?s top high school teams. Tickets are $12 for general admission or $15 for reserved seating.

December 31: ?New Year?s Eve Party at Hard Rock Caf?

Ring in the new year at Hard Rock Caf?. The party will feature a live concert, balloon drop, confetti, and party favors. Cost is $30 plus tax in advance. 21+ only.
